Jonas Brothers
Who knew the Jonas brothers taxidermied in their spare time... fortunately that is a lie but it was fun to search and stimulated my teenage girl horomones. The Jonas brothers were early taxidermists and even wrote a book on it, some of the images are below. The first normal taxidermist I'm giving to you because of the studio pictures and the book pages because its really interesting. I will try get myself a copy of it...if I can, for all I know it might be a one off. I'll research into it :D
Iris Schieferstein
Taxidermy as fashion? Why not, fur coats aren't uncommon but horse shoes kind of are, not only that she has done only what i can explain as typography taxidermy, it is rouge taxidermy because she has merged more than one animal to make the shapes she needed. If i was a woman i would want a pair of horse hoof shoes, they are pretty damn epic to be honest. As for the inflatable cow. who knew you could stretch the skin to that extent, not sure how i feel about that one because i have an aversion of cute cows but nevertheless it is an interesting concept, although somewhat like fine art I don't get the meaning behind it.
Kate Clark
How to describe Kate Clark, it could be a form of anthropomorphic taxidermy but they aren't being depicted doing human interactions, so what of the opposite of that in which humans do animal interactions. Well fun fact its called zoomorphism. So for now lets call it contorted zoomorphic taxidermy that's the best way i can think. But anyway really rather creepy this stuff, but all this would be awesome in a game. That's the thing i want to enforce, awesome stuff that should be in games but aren't. Why not? Because people are scared to be different and I don't have that fear, these awesome artists provide this inspiration so I'm going to do something with it.
Mike Libby
You don't see much insect taxidermy (add it to your list Wikipedia Sammy is defining a genre) And I think its because it has to be done in a completely different way. Normal taxidermy you skin the animal and that's really the only part you use and you put it on a sculpt. But with bugs you obviously can't do that. I haven't researched into the method that Mike Libby has used but he does this steampunk thing like Lisa Black. It looks very like how a watch maker would work a lot of using tweezers and magnifying glasses. But yeah this is awesome because it is the first and only insect taxidermist I've seen and they would look awesome in a glass cabinate at the front desk or something like that.
Walter Potter
Am I spamming you enough yet? Tough because I've only scratched the surface :D
Walter Potter, an old long dead taxidermist but he pretty much defined anthropomorphic taxidermy. His scenes putting animals in human situations are just so awesome and have so much character to them. It's like a real life animation or something you almost expect them to move. Mundane tasks like cheating on the math test, that is just excellent But my favorite piece of his is the last image of the boxing mice because its like stop motion and it's so well done.

*internet standing ovation*
Thomas Grunfeld
A taxidermist that specialized in rouge taxidermy, as you can see it can get very distorted and it doesn't always have to blend well to have the intended effect. Rouge taxidermy is made more to shock and with all taxidermy it is seen as unethical but i see it very differently. I don't know why i see it as awesome, I'm generally more open to the weird and awesome that the world has to offer I guess. But anywho Thomas Grunfeld is probably one of my favorite rouge taxidermist because he takes it to extremes but makes them all aesthetically pleasing. That equals super cool awesome fun time epicness.
Pim Palsgraaf
He is an inspiration to me, I found this work when I was thinking about my dream world and I wanted to put it in as a key feature and to be honest I want to do the same for the taxidermist because it is such an awesome idea. So if anything my showroom will have a large piece in the middle of the room of a deer city. No words can grasp how inspirational and awesome this guy is and when I'm down I look at his amazing sculpture taxidermist. Although in all this searching I have came into a conclusion that there isn't enough subsections of taxidermy. The only ones recorded are as I stated in a previous blog rouge and anthropomorphic, so i am tempted to make up names as i go along. You never know, I could be the new face of taxidermy.
